KICKS: Jordan Flight Club ’91 “Grape”

The return of the Grapes is a Summer blockbuster event we’re all looking forward to, but Jordan Brand has plans of preceding the main event by using that famed colorway on the recently introduced Jordan Flight Club ’91. This new model that we’ve been previewing lately is obviously based on the Air Jordan VI foundation, with a revised upper that adds in some “Huarache” concepts that were used on the Air Jordan VII. As expected, this new Retro-inspired design has received a mixed bag or response, but maybe this popular colorway will help skew the curve towards a more positive reaction. KICKS: Air Jordan V – Quentin Richardson “Knicks” PE

There are a few stray Air Jordan releases over the years that serve up a ‘Knicks’ looking palette, the most recent of which being this year’s Air Jordan 1 ‘Knicks’ pair. Of course if you want the real tie-in colors you’ve gotta dip into the PE realm. We’re doing just that with this Air Jordan Vfor Quentin Richardson. The blue and orange pair even comes with a cool ’23′ embroidery on the back end to give them a sort-of OG leaning look. KICKS: Jordan Spiz’ike “3M” – Arriving at Retailers

This Saturday Jordan Brand will extend the Spike Lee category even further with the official release of the Jordan Spiz’ike in the Black/Challenge Red-Metallic Silver-Tour Yellow colorway. Given the ’3M’ nickname due to the flashy mudguard, this Spiz’ike actually shares the colorway of the Jordan Melo M9 ‘Nemesis’, which is inspired by flame-retardant suits; the ‘Nemesis’ Pack is derived from a rivalry between Carmelo and a certain player on the Miami Heat – one that’ll surely get more attention as we near the Playoffs. This weekend the Jordan Spiz’ike 3M will release at Jordan Brand retailers like Social Status so enjoy one final look on a nice matching backdrop and let us know if these are a must-have for you.

KICKS: Nike LeBron X NSW Lifestyle Sample

This past weekend’s pivotal release of the Nike LeBron X ‘Cork’ gave consumers just a taste of Nike Basketball’s capabilities of transforming a high-tech sneaker into a polished lifestyle shoe, but it appears that Nike already has an entree waiting to be served up in the kitchen. Here’s a first look at the Nike LeBron X NSW Lifestyle Sample; it feature a true lifestyle mid-top silhouette (like a Blazer) with laser-etched lines on the upper and ventilated areas that give the sneaker a LeBron X spirit. Built with a brown leather upper and supported by a unique midsole with ridged walls and the LeBron lion logo on the heel, the this LeBron X NSW Lifestyle Sample exudes that grown-up nature that was first initiated with the Nike LeBron Sportswear capsule that debuted in 2011. The insole also features  a special label that reads ‘Virescit Vulnere Virtus’ – a Latin phrase that has anchored the LeBron NSW Collection since its launch. KICKS: Nike LeBron X “Ring Ceremony”

LeBron James won his first NBA Championship last year and opened this season shaking hands with David Stern at his coronation.  The King wore a ‘Ring Ceremony’ Nike LeBron X PE back in October to start the defense of his title, and we haven’t seen it since.  This gold, white and red exclusive features ‘Earned Not Given’ graphics on the footbed, gold speckling throughout the sole area and tribute text on the medial icon insets.  You can see them up close in both photos and HD video below; where do they rank in the diverse LeBron X lineup?

KICKS: Nike KD V “N7″

It looks like Kevin Durant’s latest signature sneaker will carry on the tradition of giving back to the Native American community via the Nike KD V ‘N7′. The first look at that sneaker has just arrived, with the teaser photos showing off the N7 logo on the tongue along with a geometric pattern lining the upper in a blue and yellow fade. KICKS: Air Jordan IV “Samurai” Customs by El Cappy

The Japanese influence in Tinker Hatfield’s personal style has never been more pronounced than with his latest revealed design – the Air Jordan XX8. It’s clear that the legendary footwear architect marches to a beat that we’re not entirely familiar with, yet we find ourselves following his lead willingly. Although not much of a Japanese influence is known with the design of the Air Jordan IV, a shoe that some may argue is Tinker’s best design ever, the muted and controlled colorway of the classic ‘White/Cement’ has that zen-like calm, making the customized ‘Samurai’ version by El Cappy a rather welcome fit. Going with traditional Japanese graphics on the midsole and on the upper wing with a Samurai mask logo embossed on the heel, this Air Jordan IV custom clearly took some Samurai-like discipline and focus. KICKS: SPoT x Nike SB Dunk Low

After a slow reveal, the full on look at the SPot x Nike SB Dunk Low is finally here. As mentioned previously, the sneakers feature the “dougboy” graphics of skater Lance Mountain embossed across the upper. Aside from that the design brings in a metallic platinum lean via the Swoosh, stitching, and lining. Skatepark of Tampa Ybor is hoping to have them in for a launch this Saturday, March 2nd (with some awesome extras exclusive to the SPoT release), so hit the jump for the full photos and stay tuned to Sneaker News to find out when/if other retailers across the globe will also be stocking the SPoT x Nike SB Dunk Low.
